Trying for a short-term solution

Was using Accordance without any problems but after an accident disabled my macbook pro, I am trying to use accordance on my wife's old macbook. I had installed a backup program of accordance in her macbook. The first thing I did was upgrade my OS to OS X--yosemite.

Then I started trying to upgrade my accordance--after numerous errors trying to use easy install to load my purchased modules and/or upgrading my accordance software, I finally managed to upgrade accordance to 9.6 but when I try to check for updates or do an easy install, I get the error, "Internet connection timed out". Is this a problem of trying to upgrade accordance on an old macbook (late 2009 and 4 meg Ram only) or a problem of the OS X or what? Should I try to reinstall accordance and if so in what version? If my macbook pro can be repaired I plan to upgrade to Accordance 11 but this macbook is so slow that I don't want to go that route since I am only looking for a short-term solution until I get my macbook pro back.

Thanks for any advice.

FWIW, I got an Internet Connection time-out error this morning, too, using Accordance 11 on a Mac, with everything else (including Internet) functioning perfectly. I wonder if there were server issues.

Well if it is a website problem, then I just need to be patient. Needed that anyway but thought I might be able to do something about it!

Thanks
