Bret Hicks
Periodically Accordance simply stops accepting keyboard input of any sort. I can not type in a note, or type in a new search verse - no keyboard at all is accepted. I can still highlight in open resources and such, but the keyboard does not respond. (And yes it still works find in all other apps.) When this happens, the only thing I can do is close and reopen Accordance, and then everything works fine. I am using Accordance 11.0.2 on a late 2011 MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.1. Any suggestions? In Christ, Bret
Rick Bennett
This happened to me once during a demo at SBL. I have not been able to reproduce it since then, though.
jeremyduncan
Happens to me periodically as well. No idea how to reproduce it though.
Bret Hicks
It happened off and on all day. And sometimes Accordance simply crashes and disappears in a flash - no skinny ball or anything. I will say I had no problems like this under Accordance 11 until I began using user notes, and every time it has happened I had a note open for editing. (The same note in fact.....) Not sure if that helps.... In Christ, Bret

Peter Brylov Christensen
I've seen it happen every now and then, too. But I found out by accident that changing the keyboard layout actually makes it possible to type letters again. John Fidel
I have had this occur a few times when entering a passage in the "go" box. I restarted the program and it was able to input again.
circuitrider
I've experienced this a few times also. Restarting program remedied it. I'll try chaining keyboards next time as Pchris suggests.
Martin Z
Just happened to my computer. I have an external monitor connected. I was inputting the words, the drag down manu was still on. I then dragged Accordance from the external monitor to Mac monitor. Accordance stopped accepting any keyboard input. I could still paste words into the search bar, however, i was not able to delete it. That confirmed that Accordance just stopped accepting input from keyboard. Edit: I could copy from the text, and even click ⌘ + V to paste it into the search bar. However, I could not still delete anything from it. Randy Cue
I have had this problem as well. I can tell when it is going to happen by watching how many times the Accordance icon "bounces" on the dock when I open the program. If I get more than 3 or 4 "bounces" I have the problem. Randy Cue
Any word on if this problem is being looked into?
Martin Z
Just happened again. This time, I opened Accordance, enter the 'full-screen' mood, and opened the help document to do some manu translation. When I went back to Accordance to do some search, Accordance does not accept any input.
Martin Z
this problem occurs more frequently recently, especially after I leave it open for a while without using it. Simply close the window and re-open a new one does not solve the problem. I have to quit the program and re-start. Accordance also crashes randomly more frequently since I upgraded to Yosemite. Clayton W
I have experienced the same thing. I'll have to give changing the keyboard layout a try the next time it happens.
rtrickel
I've been having the same issue - very sporadic, can't tell why or when it will happen.
Kyle Campbell
I'll add that it's been happening to me with 11.0.3 with Yosemite 10.10.1. There's nothing that I'm doing that I can tell to make it stop accepting keyboard input. Quitting and restarting the program always corrects it for a while. Λύχνις Δαν
Hey ya, Ok I had this sort of thing happen this morning on 11.0.3. on Mac Mavericks. It was pretty severe. Mouse selection was fine but keyboard input was not accepted by ANY application. I tried Firefox, LibreOffice and Accordance. I rebooted the keyboard but that did not help. I tried locking the screen and then hoped to be able to unlock and that might reset things. No dice. In fact a small number of keys would respond typing characters into the unlock password prompt but not all, and no, not enough of the right ones for my password. The ones that tended to respond were the far right hand side of the letter keys on each row - so like i, o, p, j ,l, m, comma. Pretty much everything else not really. A hard reboot later and we are good. What had a been doing. Well I was playing with the Opt-Cmd-A stuff which I had not tried in a while. I was using it with LibreOffice where it works actually, but had a few misfires because I forgot about the accessibility stuff that had to be enabled. I then punched in a few dodgy verse refs. But things seemed ok. Then I was playing with the tool browser range selection stuff for a bit and I didn't really know how it worked initially so was hitting various shift, opt, cmd click things. It was selecting stuff and highlighting in the browser ok. When I finally worked out that to restrict the content pane contents to the range that one had to hit return in the search box, I discovered that the keyboard was unresponsive. Does any of this help repro' ing the issue ? I have not myself been able to turn it into a repro. case yet but will play more with it as time permits. Thx D

Buck
I've had this happen to me several times while using Accordance and only in Accordance. The only fix seems to be closing and opening the application. Are there any updates on whether this had been an identifiable bug that's being worked on? Christopher Heard
Using Accordance 11.0.3, Mac OS 10.10.1, I have had a similar problem in a very specific circumstance: when I load a saved workspace that isn’t inside the Accordance Files folder. In my case, for example, I had a workspace stored in ~/Documents/Crossroads/Content/Crossroads Workspace.accord Opening this workspace caused Accordance to start ignoring the keyboard in the search field. Thereafter, Accordance continued to ignore the keyboard in the search field until I quit the program. I moved the workspace to ~/Documents/Accordance Files/User Workspaces/Crossroads Workspace.accord then restarted Accordance, used File > Open Workspace > Add Workspace … to add the Crossroads Workspace in User Workspaces, and then opened the workspace, and then Accordance would accept keyboard input into the search field. tennysonm
I am occasionally having this problem only in accordance. Restarting the program worked only after the third attempt. I use notes extensively and have a feeling it is related to that. This last time it happened after my laptop was asleep. Worked fine, before did not work after.
