Diane Richards
I am using Anki to learn my Hebrew vocabulary for my course with eTeacher / Hebrew University of Jerusalem. My question is that I am wanting to make some cards with just pronominal suffixes. I can't seem to put a tsere vowel (independent of any Hebrew character) first followed by a Hebrew character. Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks.
Bob Kuo
Diane, I've been using Anki for the last four or more years for my language study - glad to see more people using it. I've got a deck called "Hebrew Grammar" and it contains basic grammar points like vowels, conjugations, etc. I've had some trouble formatting the Hebrew exactly as I wish so what I did was take a partial screen shot (Command+Shift+4 and then make a rectangular on your screen and it will save a PNG image to the desktop) of some PDF charts from Basics of Biblical Hebrew and use that as the front of the card. I used Basics of Biblical Hebrew because their charts have the differences highlighted in red. It makes identifying the changes very easy.
