NEB, JB, and Phillips

I know the Revised English Bible (REB) and the New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) are already available, but it would be very cool if the New English Bible and the original Jerusalem Bible were also available. The REB and NJB made significant updates to their predecessors--in some case they seem like completely different translations. The original versions would be a welcome addition to Accordance.

It would also be cool to have the J.B. Phillips New Testament in Accordance.

We have tried and failed to get Phillips. I doubt there is sufficient demand nor etexts for the NEB and JB.

The lack of etexts is part of my frustration. The NEB and JB are nowhere to be found on the net. It's kind of strange in our modern age with so many digital texts available that in order to look at these translations I actually have to get the books off the shelf. Not to mention the search feature is much slower in the physical books. :)

The 1972 New Testament in Modern English by J. B. Phillips is available in the Online Bible for Macintosh. It's the only place I've seen it.

Which version of OLB has the Phillips? I cannot find it on my version 3 Deluxe CD.

Thanks!

Claims it's on both the classic and deluxe CD. I know it was on mine but didn't dig it out to see exactly where it is on there.

FYI - The Phililps NT is available on the Online Bible 2012 Edition. Here is one place I found it http://www.answersin...n,7305,321.aspx. I am guessing it would be at Christian Book Distributors too. I found a link to an online resource here: http://www.ccel.org/...llips/JBPNT.htm. Here is an additional link to the J.B. Phillips http://www.biblegateway.com/.Hope this helps. It is too bad Accordance hasn't been able to secure a license, but since Online Bible seems to be one of the few sources, it would seem others have had difficulties securing a license.

Surprising there was not enough of call for the Jerusalem Bible since it is still the official translation used by Roman Catholic UK churches (England, Wales, Ireland, (couldn't confirm Scotland, as when it came to lectionary they had links to US and canadian lectionaries, so links to the New American bible and NRSV )) I am happy enough to just have just the NJB but perhaps, the JB was also the official Bible of the Canadian Catholic Church till the NRSV came along and replaced it in the early 90s. I would most likely purchase it because it;s translation was a bit freer than than the NJB but it does't look like it is coming anytime soon.

After rereading the comments here I am curious as to why Online Bible and WordSearch and possibly others were able to get Phillips and Accordance is not able to. Can anyone in the know explain that? I am also wondering if it would be difficult for me to take a version I have and make an Accordance User Bible out of it so I can access it via Accordance? If there is a way to do that can someone, again in the the know, relate how to go about that?

Thanks!!!!

I have long liked the NEB for easy reading (not doctrinal proof). Is it not the translation that originally had an admonition vs being a loose liver?
