option + highlight with mouse

A very simple request. In MS Word a user can hold down option and highlight "upwards", so you can highlight each word in the beginning of each line, for example.

 

The reason I would really like this is because I find tables in Accordance modules not very useful, especially when trying to copy and paste into documents or keynotes. I would like to grab a column, or two columns, etc, and cannot do so.

 

Now, my first preference is for tables in modules to be true tables, where I can grab columns and rows, etc, but I'll settle for this type of option+mouse highlighting ability.
