Ken Simpson
Hi everyone, I trust you all had a great Christmas period, and now are kicking into the New Year with gusto. We have not been idle on the Accordance Exchange, though you may not have seen much happening on the outside. The major change we have gone live with today is that we have made everything available as a zip file that is sensible to do so. (i.e. not the image files). This is to bring us out of the Classic era and into the Mac OS X and PC version era. The various modules should work in both the PC and Mac versions of Accordance. Anyway, I would love you to test out the new website, and let me know if there are issues. You can post here, or you can make a comment from the Exchange website, or you can email me directly on ksimpson at accordancebible dot com. Please note that the automation archives will not work on a PC as they require applescript to work. Enjoy! Ken Simpson
Hi Dan's - it's the day of the Daniels! Dan F - I don't know how the Narrative Lectionary disappeared, but it's back. Thanks for pointing that out. Dan S - great to hear that! Though I am sure that it won't all be that smooth. Helen Brown
The user tools link isn't working right now. Update: Ken has fixed it, thanks!
Ken Simpson
As a bonus I have added a few new tools and texts. From Rick Mansfield, we have Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, and the Declaration of Independence. Thanks Rick! More Americana! From Steven King, we have Gill's Exposition on the whole Bible in NT and OT modules (Gill was a preacher in Spurgeon's pulpit about 100 years before CHS). And he has also made available Poole's Annotations on the Holy Bible. Both marvellous resources. Thanks Steven. I will not be posting emulator versions (.sit) for these files, or any other new files. I will continue to make the current repository available for a further 12 months. Edited January 3, 2014 by Ken Simpson
EricC
I downloaded the WYCLIFFE.zip file, but when I unarchive it, it changes to WYCLIFFE.cpgz. When I unarchive that, it goes back to .zip. I was successful with the TYNDALE.zip file, but this one seems to cause some extra effort. Any advice?
Randy Cue
Ken, when I copied from Gill into a word processor , I gave me no citation. Is that to be expected? Soli Deo Gloria, Randy
JSGilliom
Thank you to each who had a role in giving us Gill!
Ken Simpson
Hi Randy, while I don't understand the deep insides of how the modules work, my understanding is that a user tool doesn't have the bibliographic information built into it, so no, you will not get any citation information when you copy. Don't know how the file got messed up, but there might be a little of that as we shake out the bugs in the transition to the new site. I have corrected the module. Please redownlload the WYCLIFFE.zip file and all should be well. Delete the prior zip and cpgz file. Thanks.
