Typing Unicode Hebrew in User Notes, Searches, etc.

Hi,

I've found a workaround in Windows to enter Hebrew Unicode characters in my User Notes and Construct Searches.

Unicode Hebrew keyboards work for all unshifted characters. So I thought that a custom keyboard using normal unshifted characters would work.

I downloaded the free program Microsoft Keyboard Layout at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22339

I found the Windows: How to Change Keyboard Layout video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5h5ixlRIAA very helpful.

I opened Microsoft Keyboard Layout, File > Load an Existing Keyboard > Hebrew (QWERT), and changed the keyboard to my liking, following Ezra SIL Unicode 2.4 except for its shifted characters (final consonants, etc.).

It works great. I set the Windows language bar to Hebrew and my custom Unicode keyboard, and I can word process in Accordance like in any other Windows program.

I thought this would be more relevant in Original Languages than in Windows Wisdom, for those who do most of their work in the original languages.

Michel
