Comparing Translations

Is it possible to make a simple user tool that will take a reference and list every translation for that verse in one window? I realize Accordance has a very powerful tool for highlighting differences in parallel columns, but I was wondering if it can make a list in one window. Does this capacity exist and I don't realize it?

Any reference: Song 2.4

All selected English and Texts: (Hebrew won't display simply here)

Listed in One Window

Geneva Hee brought mee into the wine cellar, and loue was his banner ouer me.

KJV He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

NIV He has taken me to the banquet hall, and his banner over me is love.

Message He took me home with him for a festive meal,

but his eyes feasted on me!

etc.

Charles,

There's no facility to do exactly what you're asking, but you could print all panes as interleaved. Go to File-->Print Settings...

In the dialog box, make sure Print All Panes is checked, then in the pop-up labeled "Columns," choose "None (All Interleaved)". You might also want to check "Print Pane Name."

With those settings, you can then print your window to paper, or select Preview to view a pdf of it.

If you really want to put all this info into a user tool, you can select the text in Preview and then paste it into the Edit window of a user tool. Unfortunately, the Hebrew text seems to get reversed, so you probably would have to copy that bit separately.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, David! That did exactly what I was trying to do. If I remember correctly, there was a tool in Logos that did precisely this (without having to open up all the columns) and perhaps printed selected commentary passages as well. But, it's not something I use all the time. just helps at times. Thanks, I'm happy. :)
