Document import preparation

Hello

I'm new both to Macs and to Accordance. I'm interesting in bringing a variety of text documents into Accordance and have a few questions.

1. Is there any advantage to importing as HTML vs. importing as .txt file for user files.

2. Is there anyone who has written some Word macros to automate the process of file preparation in MS Word? Or scripts for Automator? (for both Bibles and for user files)

3. I've read Mr. Fear's directions on file preparation but still have trouble getting things to import as Bible texts and/or user files.

I've read the instructions in the help files too and am not adept enough to get things formatted properly prior to import.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. Many thanks.\

Welcome to Accordance! I'm fairly new myself, and I'm enjoying the Accordance experience.

I've just recently started importing books as User Tools into Accordance. The following has helped me:

Importing HTML Documents

How Accordance Imports HTML

Preserving Formatting

"Linking" to External Files

I hope this helps. Also, you can search the forums for more information on importing into User Tools.

God bless,

Sean
