davesalyer
I saw the post for the ESV Literary Study Bible and agree that that might not be as useful on Accordance. But are there any plans to release the upcoming ESV Study Bible. This is a more traditional Study Bible with verse commentary and would be more useful as a tool - perhaps even having the commentary as a seperate tool to add as a pane to the ESV or any translation for that matter? ESV seems to be a popular translation and I imagine this Study Bible is going to be big among all fans of the ESV because it sounds like it will be much better than the NIV reformation study and the ESV reformation study that are already out. ToddPeperkorn
I do know that Concordia Publishing House has plans to release an ESV Study Bible sometime in 2009. That will be Lutheran, and should be of the highest scholarship. P
Fr. Matthew Thurman
I'd be interested in seeing the upcoming ESV Study Bible offered as an Accordance module! I'm planning on purchasing a print edition, but would also like to access to the materials in electronic form. Any possibility that this might be done? --Fr. davesalyer
This is from the official website: The ESV Study Bible is the first study Bible ever to be published simultaneously in print form and online
Fr. Matthew Thurman
I've been impressed that Crossway has versions of the ESV, the ESV Literary Study Bible, and (soon) the ESV Study Bible available online, in addition to print versions. I, personally, would be more likely to do any note-taking, etc., with the ESVE Study Bible within the confines of my laptop w/o using Web access or interface. My impression is that Crossway tends to be more receptive to the market than some other publishers and would welcome a version for Accordance. And they'd definitely make money on it: if an Accordance version become available, I'll purchase it in addition to the print version! (I don't necessarily take my laptop everywhere!) Joshua French
I think that it would be great to have the ESV Study Bible notes available in Accordance. It looks like it has a lot of first rate scholars working on the notes. And since it is already in electronic form, maybe it wouldn't be as difficult to make into a module. Helen Brown
Yes, we should be able to release it in a couple of months.
davesalyer
Yes, we should be able to release it in a couple of months. Any hints as to how this will look? Will it just be a module with the study notes? Will the articles, maps, tables, etc. be included?
Helen Brown
I expect it will include everything except the actual text of the ESV, but I have not seen the contract nor the etext yet.

danieleburrow
Way to go on getting the ESV Study Bible notes to Accordance - AWESOME! How very busy our Accordance folks must be! Upgrades, bug fixes, forum replies, and so much more are cranked out (in love I might add) by these dear souls. And in their spare time they interface with others busy about our Father's business as we learned from yesterday's ESV Study Bible Blog: "Crossway has partnered with the leading digital software providers, including Accordance, Biblesoft, Laridian, Olive Tree, and WORDsearch, to make the ESV Study Bible available with all of its notes, articles, and features." Please see the source text at: ESV Study Bible Blog Thanks unto all of you at Accordance for the excellent products crafted and tended unto to.
