forcing parallel panes

I want to view (for example) the BHS text, LXX, and NASB side by side. So 3 panes, text display is separate verses, without spaces, poetry removed. I have the following problems:

1) The top verse is parallel, but the remaining verses are not. Can I force extra white space to line up all the verses?

Currently I have to export the text to a word processor and place the verses in a table.

2) Currently the references are displayed above the verse. For some reason, the BHS reference at the very top is not even with the NASB or the LXX. So not even the top verse is parallel.

Can I fix this?

Thanks

There is no way to line up all the verses down the pane automatically. That's really difficult to program. However, you can set the display separately for each pane by selecting the pane and going to Set Text Disply in the Disply or right-click menu, or command-T. You can change the size, leading, references, add a space between verses etc. You can also then, in the tab itself, adjust the width of each pane so the verses align better.

I recooemnd you save the tab or workspace if you get it looking the way you want.

Thanks Helen.

I for one would really like to see this feature in a new version of Accordance!

It has been requested on and off over the 18 years since we first showed Accordance at ETS/SBL. I'm told it would be very hard to implement, and probably slow the display as one scrolled. If it were feasible, I thinkl we would have done it long ago.
