Search all 3:16's

Ok... So this should be an easy search but I'm struggling to make it happen. I want to list all occurrences of 3:16 in my bible without regard to book.

I've tried *3:16 and * 3:16 to no avail...

What obvious search string am I missing?

I think it is rather unusual for Bible programs to be able to find those types of things. Nonetheless, via another program (SwordSearcher [Windows only]), I found this:

Ge 3:16; Ex 3:16; Le 3:16; Nu 3:16; De 3:16; Jos 3:16; Jg 3:16; Ru 3:16; 1Sa 3:16; 2Sa 3:16; 1Ki 3:16; 2Ki 3:16; 1Ch 3:16; 2Ch 3:16; Ne 3:16; Job 3:16; Pr 3:16; Ec 3:16; Isa 3:16; Jer 3:16; La 3:16; Eze 3:16; Da 3:16; Joe 3:16; Na 3:16; Hab 3:16; Zep 3:16; Mal 3:16; Mt 3:16; Mr 3:16; Lu 3:16; Joh 3:16; Ac 3:16; Ro 3:16; 1Co 3:16; 2Co 3:16; Ga 3:16; Eph 3:16; Php 3:16; Col 3:16; 2Th 3:16; 1Ti 3:16; 2Ti 3:16; Heb 3:16; Jas 3:16; 1Pe 3:16; 2Pe 3:16; 1Jo 3:16; Re 3:16. Hope that helps.

Did you perform that search in SS? How so?

It is a fun verse list to read. I did this years ago.

If there isn't a direct way to do it in Accordance, try the following to create a fairly quick list of verse references like that above using a couple Mac apps.

Copy list of books from Accordance (Display->List All Book Names) into Numbers
Insert column between short and complete name
Enter verse reference (i.e. 3:16) into middle column and copy and paste down
Copy first two columns with book and verse reference into BBEdit or TextWrangler (free text editor)
Using the Find search for tabs (/t) and replace with a space
Copy all into Accordance and perform your search using the list created.

Tom, I sent you a private message to answer this, so we wouldn't use Accordance's forum to explain how to do something in another program. Let me know if you don't get the PM.
