Atomic Bomb Activation

This could be a feature request, but for me it is a bug, like a mine waiting to be stepped on. I am happily tip-toe-ing thru the tulips with Accordance when somehow I click the wrong way in the Library, and suddenly I get like 1000 windows opening, one after the other. The solution for me is to go to Force Quit & kill Accordance. It may be double-clicking on a category that causes this -- I am not sure, but suddenly all the translations or all the commentaries start popping open like with Mickey Mouse and the brooms in the Sorcerer's Apprentice.

Could there be some feature, like a safety on a shot gun, that limits the number of windows that can be activated all at once like that? Maybe a message could pop up saying, "Are you sure you want to activate all 1000 commentaries at once?"

I never even knew that you could do this until I started trying to replicate it - and that's after using Accordance for years! I will let someone else reply on a possible warning message, but I must ask: is it really that difficult to avoid double-clicking on the folder in the Library? It only takes a single click to disclose a triangle and I really don't see any other way you can accidentally double-click on a folder (double-clicking on the folder name will only select it's label).

I've done this before as well. The difficulty isn't really the issue since it happens by accident (intending to hit button once but hand slips, new user not realizing single-click is enough, etc.), not by intent. Anyway, I wonder if this "feature" is necessary. Double-clicking in a Finder window reveals the contents rather than opening all of the files, and perhaps that would be a sensible approach here as well.

I can see that; maybe my question was prompted more by not understanding the 'atomic' weight of the matter. ;)
