Where are the deponents?

Hi

When you enter a verb tag, one of the Voice items (the last) is deponent (and it's in italics - why?)

With GNT-T or LXX1 as my search texts, there are no deponents found in either of these texts. So where are they? Is it possible to search all texts for a tag? I can't do it from the search all box.

I presume the item is there because somewhere there are deponents. I would love to find them, but where are they?

Thanks

Hey Ken,

Since deponents have the dictionary entry ending with -μαι, I just did a search with:

=*μαι

It seems to have accomplished it.

Sincerely,

Deponent is in italics in the list which means it's used in Latin but not in Greek. It does work in the Vulgate-T.

There is no specific tag for deponency in the GNT. The only way to see deponency in the texts is to observe the lemma. If the LEMMA is a middle form, such as ercomai then any middle form is deponent. If the lemma is an active form, then any middle form is a true middle.
