It could be useful to provide a straightforward way to consult BDAG/HALOT from a Strong's/GK-tagged text, because for now the user has to do a workaround, by opening a parallel original language text, and then triple-clicking the word from there, or triple-clicking the tagged word, and then triple-clicking the original word that appears in the Strongs/KM/Mounce dictionary.

There is a more straightforward way. Select the word you want, hold the option key, and then amplify to the lexicon you want. (This is for Mac. I'm not sure what the equivalent is for Windows.)

In Windows it's the alt key. I was just entering the same tip.

I tried using alt triple click on a New Testament text in ESVS, and only the Mounce dictionary appears, in spite of putting the BDAG as the preferred greek dictionary.

 

Am I missing out on some other configuration to get this to work?

You need to press option (or alt) then amplify from the word not triple click.

 

Select word then either use the amplify in the tool bar or the amplify menu or amplify in the library selecting the relevant Greek or Hebrew Tool.
