Elijah
I've used accordance for several years for studying Greek and Hebrew and to do general bible study.Since German is my main language I always missed some German dictionaries that I preferably use: Gesenius for Hebrew and Menge for Greek. Recently the Publisher "Springer" has published a brand new 18. edition of the Gesenius dictionary. http://www.springer.com/social+sciences/religious+studies/book/978-3-642-25680-6 It should be easier to make an Accordance module since the layout was redone (the publisher Springer should be able to provide a digital copy to Accordance). The last edition was done before the computer era.It would be a great help for all German speaking Accordance users that want to use German dictionaries. Regarding the Menge dictionary there is unfortunately no source available to user the publisher Langenscheidt said. It hasn't been redone like the Gesenius. Please comment if you are interested in Gesenius as Accordance module! The more requests, the more likely it is that it will be created. Elijah
Thanks for the question. The original 18. edition was published during 1987 and 2012. It was a major revision of the 17. edition from 1921. In my post I referred to the complete edition in one book ($109) with 1624 pages. In the orignal 18. edition there were 7 separate books ($1633 in total): א - ג ד - יכ - מנ - פצ - שׂשׁ - ת + Biblical AramaicSupplement Looking at the contents on one of the books, it looks completely identical to the edition in a single book I own. http://www.amazon.de/Hebräisches-Aramäisches-Handwörterbuch-über-Testament/dp/354078599X/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF The number of pages of the 7 books seems to confirm that (only about 200 pages each). I don't know why the price is so much higher for the single books, but it looks like the single book version would be enough in accordance. markusvonkaenel
Decided to order the book from Amazon. I have a few of the more expansive ones, but stopped then because I still think, the one from Carta Jerusalem (in english) is still one of the best available. Köhler/Baumgartner (German) is a bit outdated. So, the 100 CHF are worth a trail.
markusvonkaenel
I got the book and think it would be a good addition. It's the complete set of the very expensive first delivery. Let's see if it makes in accordance.
