Ruben Gomez
Accordance crashes when I try to create a new folder for my group. Are you using ver 10.1? What you see in the video was done in real time running Mac OS 10.7.5. Everything worked as expected.
Julia Falling
I'm crashing, too, instantly. It doesn't matter whether I use a keyboard shortcut or the gear menu. Running Accordance 10.1 & OS 10.8.2, late 2008 unibody MBP. By the way, your video was really nice, and so was Darin's. I'd like to implement the ideas, but the crash issue has got to be fixed first. Fr. Rich
Yes, I am using 10.1. I have the same experience that Julie describes.
Chuck Schneider
For whatever reason, I don't seem to have this experience. I was able to follow the instructions all the way through. Ruben Gomez
Okay. We'll have to let the developers take a look at what's going on here...
Ken Simpson
Hi guys, what you need to do is select an item in the group, not the group title. Then when you create a folder it will work fine. So this will cause a crash (see how the title item is selected) whereas this one works fine (see how the subitem is selected) Of course the flaw in the plan is if you do not yet have a subitem created. So how do you do that! Well, the easiest way is to just add anything to get started. So, select a library item (text or tool) and right/ctrl-click it. Then the fifth item down is "Add to user group" which has a submenu. CHoose "[New Group]" and it should create an untitled group with your library item in it (you can do this with multiple items). Anyway, once you have the first group created, you can use the first workaround to make more.

Ken Simpson
Hi Chuck, that's interesting. I wonder what the difference is? So many variables....
Fr. Rich
That did not help. I still don't have a new folder in "My Groups" but I have an extra, unwanted folder that I can't get rid of in "Hebrew Tools."
Julia Falling
Ken - I had folders in My Groups until I replaced my preferences from the Mac mini. So I'm one of those who has no work-arounds.
Fr. Rich
I don't have any folders in "My Groups" either.
Fr. Rich
OK. After reading these posts and then checking the Help files for "My Groups" I learned how to create and populate a new group for "My Groups." Now everything works just as Ruben demonstrated.
