Accordance 10.x Compatibility with Microsoft Surface Pro 3

I know that Accordance 11 is right around the corner, but I'm just checking to see if Accordance (10 or 11) will have the following things worked out for those who are on the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 on Windows 8.1 Pro:

  1. Screen resolution - right now everything looks fuzzy
  2. Installation - right now some of my resources won't install correctly so I'm missing some of my resources that I have on my Mac.
  3. Scrolling with multi gestures don't appear to work

Hopefully, these fixes won't only be available for Accordance 11 Windows users.

Thanks in advance! BTW, I'm looking forward to Accordance 11. :)

Just following up on this. Looks like the installation has been resolved by one of the content updates, but I'm still curious if #1 & #3 are on your list.

#1 is already improved in Accordance 11. Which gestures don't work as you expect?

Scrolling...

I'm able to easily scroll with one finger on my Surface.

We've actually addressed this issue in a prior thread, and unfortunately there isn't much we can be done:

Ryan, we've done a metric ton of research on these, even talking with the folks at Microsoft. Any two-finger scrolling on a track pad is a driver issue, dependent on the manufacturer of the keyboard. In the case of the Surface Pro and its Type Cover, they are aware of incompatibilities and problems with certain APIs that Accordance is using. So, until they decide to fix some issues on their end, there isn't much we can do right now. Scrolling should work just fine on the screen itself, and it will also work if you use a 3rd party keyboard, but on the Type Cover, it is essentially in their hands.

I'm using a normal desktop pc, but I was wondering if scrolling is possible on a normal notebook touchpad. I'm thinking about getting an external touchpad. Is this only a surface related issue?

Update: I tested Accordance on Windows with the Bamboo Pad USB and two-finger scrolling works very well.

I prefer using the pad instead of the mouse wheel for longer passages. The Scrolling is very smooth like on an iPad.

So it seems it's only an issue on the surface tablet.

First question, why would a Mac user want a surface pro 3 and second, as far as I know Windows does not support Mac's multi-touch gestures or use their touch pad for input. A third party may have developed a driver but I wouldn't know. I guess you have your reasons, probably portabilty and the fact you can use the full blown version of Accoradance on a tablet like device other than the limited iPad verison. But, I have had no problem using my new MacBook Pro 13" with retina display for portabilty and I believe it's even lighter than the surface pro. I wouldn't step back to windows just have portabilty in a bible app. To each his own.

@Dennis: If you answer was direct at me, I want to clarify that I'm not using a surface pro, but a normal desktop pc. I should've created a new forum post probably.

Windows 10 will support multi-touch gestures natively btw. But they will bring those silly fullscreen windows store apps (Win 8) to the desktop as normal windows which doesn't make sense to me. I wish Microsoft would separate touch UI from mouse/keyboard UI like apple does it.

I use Accordance on a Mac and a Windows PC. The Surface Pro interests me for some Windows software that isn't available for the Mac.

How is it improved? Just the fuzziness? Everything is still very small on my Surface screen. Is there a way to enlarge all buttons and the GUI? (Not speaking of the built-in windows option to enlarge everything by 150-200 %, I'm already using that one.

FWIW, I don't see any fuzziness, but icons, popup windows, etc. (UI elements in general) look extremely small and make it very difficult to interact with the program. I am working at 150%, which is the standard size, and all other Windows programs look fine.
