Martin Z
Hello, The default New Search Tab opens with a blank text tab. If I set BHS-T as the default New Search Tab, either '⌘ + N' or open the BHS-T with mouse will open a blank tab. I have to click 'Enter' key to display all the verses. Open other texts will show the text right away. If I set NA28 as the default, then the blank text will happen to NA28. If I try to navigate before I hit the 'Enter' key mentioned above, then a pop up window will show up. I don't know if it is a bug or not. The problem occurs on my Mac (v. 11.0.2). It works fine on my Windows (v. 11.0).
Ken Simpson
Hi Martin, this is probably occurring because your “Search tab” preferences is set to “Word” rather than “Verse”. Set to “Word” accordance opens with a blank tab because you have entered no word parameters and so there is no search to execute implicitly or explicitly until you execute a search. In “Verse” though, Accordance assumes you want to read so will display the chosen text from the beginning of the text.
Martin Z
I see. Thanks, Ken. I'm wondering, is it possible to change it so that the full text will also be displayed although I set "Word Search" as default? I kind of do both depending on my need. Ken Simpson
Easiest thing is to set it at verse search I think. Then if you type in a word, most of the time accordance will smart switch to word search mode. That's the way I have my set up.
