Julia Falling
Hey – We bought a family license, last year I think. (We had my license on too many devices!) What keeps happening is that Accordance on my husband's machines keeps forgetting his license and frequently comes up with my name. Last night when he installed Acc-11, a 'validation' window came up – with my name on it. It couldn't be changed. He couldn't go backward, and couldn't go forward. He has version 11 installed and it's working, but he had to validate with my name. I checked this morning and tried a Contents Update (even though there were none) and Accordance seems to know it's his license is on his machines now. It usually doesn't stick, however. How do we purge my name from his installs? This is a problem that keeps recurring. Thanks. (This was an issue with Acc-10, too.)
Joel Brown
My guess is you saved your name to his Keychain for some reason. I'd go to the Keychain Access app and remove any Accordance Easy Install entries.
Julia Falling
Thanks, Joel. EDIT: It was that way because for a couple of years his installs were under my license. That was until I learned about the 5-device limit and started counting. Eight. Yes, eight. Steve started talking about which of our devices, including mine, would be OK without Accordance. But Accordance was my 2003 Christmas gift. I was kinda inflexible and said he could delete Accordance off his devices instead. Hence, the second license. Now y'all know just how ugly I can be. Julia Falling
Hey – What about the copy on his iMac that 'validated' using my account? Do we need to fix that? Reinstall? Or just forget it?
Joel Brown
I wouldn't worry about it too much for now.
