A couple of things, perhaps only the first of which is a bug:

1. In the print edition of LEH, the diamond is the siglum for indicating a word's root. In the first attached shot (using Times New Roman font), a diamond does not display. So also within the body of the text itself (see second shot), I get a square instead of a diamond. I will report using the in-app report correction feature, but I am wondering if (a.) others can confirm they display this, too? and (b.) if this is a wider-spread issue than just the two instances I have seen.

2. There are not spaces between the paragraphs in the introductory material of LEH. There are not spaces between introductory paragraphs in BDAG, to compare, but there they are at least indented (as it is in print BDAG). LEH (print) does not indent paragraphs in the intro, but does have a space between. So, while this may be mixing a potential bug report with a feature request, it seems LEH should either mirror the print edition (with spaces between paragraphs) or indent, so that it's easier to read. If this is a settings issue on my end, I'm happy to learn about it and adjust it myself!

It would also be nice in LEH to be able to navigate the intro material by way of the TOC menu/sidebar. As you can see in the same third attachment, BDAG is set up that way but in LEH the navigation just gets you to the first letter, then you have to manually scroll up to get through the introductory content.

EDIT: I see that "(b)" still makes a smiley face in these forums!

For #1 does it display properly when you choose another font?

No. Do you have a font in which it's displaying properly? If you do, I'll just switch to that for the time being. Times New Roman, Arial, Calibri, American Typewriter, and Georgia all have display errors.

Is anyone able to find a font in which the diamonds and squares display as diamonds and squares in LEH?

This is a bug in Accordance, not a font issue. When exported the diamonds appear in most fonts. The problem is that it's a high ASCII character and our text renderer cannot display it. We'll try to look at the issue again, but it affects only a few rare characters, and you may just have to live with it.

I think I may have found a workaround of sorts. In Prefs > Appearance select 'Display Ligatures in Supported Fonts'. See if that works; it does on my end using Helvetica as the default display font for Tools.

Even if a rare symbol in that lexicon, it does strike me as an important one. So thanks for checking it out, Helen. I will try to help keep any Septuagintalists' Revolt at bay, in the meantime.

Thanks, Rick! That works. Well, there is still not a diamond in the prefatory material, but in the entries of the lexicon itself, there is. A good fix--thank you!

Was just looking at LEH again today--could a future update make it such that I can navigate the front material via the left sidebar, as you can in BDAG?

Abram –

Is this the diamond you're talking about?  The font is Verdana – one of my favorites.  It's uncluttered.  You can tell the difference between the number 1, an l (lower case L), and an I (upper case i).  Note also that where you have a square, mine says "MT."

Version 2.3 of the LEH-2 was released this morning, with an updated browser that displays the prefatory material, as well as several minor adjustments.

Upon reviewing the changes that had been made to version 2.3 of the LEH-2, some additional formatting issues were found. Version 2.4 should be coming out later today or tomorrow. As always, thank you Accordance users for your input!
