Hi,

I would like to use Mounce Analytical dictionary as default Greek dictionary.

Now as I right-click on the word inside GNT-TRS module, there pops context menu, I find in it menu-item "Look up" > "Dictionary" and after clicking on it the new tab opens displaying the dictionary entry. But the entry being displayed is from Mounce Greek dictionary, not from Mounce Analytical dictionary I need.

It seems that Mounce Greek dictionary is default dictionary for the GNT-TRS module. How can I change default Greek dictionary to Mounce Analytical dictionary, so that by right-clicking on the word and selecting "Look up" > "Dictionary" from the context menu the entry from this dictionary would be opened?

Thanks.

P.S. I use Accordance on Windows. I suppose this  works the same on Mac.

Those relationships are encoded into the program.

To get your desired results follow this (or a similar) workflow:

Do the look up > dictionary (or simply triple click) as you have been doing and then triple click on the lexical form in Mounce Greek Dictionary. If you have Mounce Analytical as your default Greek tool (that is, it's the first in your Library organization) it will do a search for that work in your desired tool.

Thank you Graham!

It works as you described. It would be better if triple click opened deafault dictionary entry, but triple click on the word in GNT-TRS and then the triple click on the word in Mounce Greek dictionary is also quite good.

Hi,

I found that the module GNT-T works together with dictionary as I need: tripple click on the word opens the entry in Mounce Analytical dictionary. But I prefer Textus Receptus version to Nestle-Aland.

Also I found that there are two Textus Receptus modules:  GNT-TRS module (Greek New Testament (Textus Receptus) with Strong's), and a module named "GNT-Textus Receptus (tagged)". Maybe the latter would open the entry from Mounce Analytical dictionary on tripple-click?

BTW, what's the difference between GNT-TRS module (Greek New Testament (Textus Receptus) with Strong's) and "GNT-Textus Receptus (tagged)"?

Thanks.

The GNT-TRS is not grammatically tagged, but it keyed to Strong's.  If you hover over a word in it, the first line of information in the Instant Details box will include the Strong's number and a gloss, but not grammatical information.  (You may see grammatical tagging information on another line in the instant details, but this is because Accordance is pulling it from a different module.  If you look carefully, you will see the name of that module listed at the beginning of that line)

The GNT-Textus Receptus (tagged) is grammatically tagged.  If you hover over a word in it, the Instant details will show you grammatical tag information on the first line.

Thank you, Lorinda.

So, it seems, that GNT-Textus Receptus (tagged) should work with Mounce Analytical dictionary as GNT-T does, since both are grammatically tagged, i.e. both should open an entry in this dictionary on tripple-click, isn't it?

Yes, that's how it should work.  I have BDAG as my top dictionary, and clicking a word ind the GNT-TR (Tagged) opens BDAG.

Does this not happen for you with Mounce?

Thanks for the explanations.

I don't own GNT-TR (Tagged) module. Until now I thought that GNT-TRS should work with any dictionary. It seems I should buy GNT-TR.
