See attached image...

I have a two copies of the Thompson Chain Reference Bible open in a workspace. One as a Parallel Pane so it syncs with my Scripture content. The other is in a separate zone. so I can dig into the additional content.

I want to set it up when I click a link to one of the topics in the Parallel Pane version, instead of it going there in the Parallel Pane version (as it's doing now), it goes to the one in the separate zone instead so I can keep the Parallel Pane syncing with my scripture and use the version in the separate zone for looking up topics.

How can I do that?

Thanks!

Hi Nathan, no attached image, sorry.

But, you can do it. Try this.

Have your basic parallel workspace (with only 1 TCR pane open).

Click on a reference in the TCR and a new (identical form) 2 pane reference window will open. (mine actually opens 2 texts  - don't know why).

Then drag the TCR pane over to the far right and drop it. This makes it "independent" of sorts.

Close the text pane using the close button on the tabs so that only the TCR view remains at the right of the initial zone you opened.

Resize the TCR only pane to what you want. Make sure the recycle button is selected (blue).

Now you can scroll the right hand side TCR independently, and any click on the right will jump only in the right, but clicks in the TCR parallel will move the right hand TCR to the relevant link.

If you need a little movie I can do that tomorrow, but I am about to fly interstate to demonstrate in Victoria. (Melbourne, Australia)

Hi Ken!

Sorry my screenshot didn't attach. I just tried your instructions, and I think I'm doing something wrong. A video would be great when you have a free moment. No big rush.

Thanks!

Hi Ken,

I would love to use this approach [though with different resources] but I don't quite understand the instructions - sorry!

Any further guidance would be gratefully appreciated!

It would be nice if Accordance had a function to select a target pane for links...
