When selecting a new tool within a tool pane it seems like the pop up menu "Reference Tools" has been added as and extra step to get to the Reference Tools contextual menu.  It would be a little quicker for the Reference Tools menu to pop up immediately.  I think this is how it used to be in 10?

It looks like this redundancy is also in the "Add Parallel" Menu also.

When navigating to "Reference Tools,"  another Reference Tools shows up.

My guess is that this is related to your library organization.  Do you have a folder names "Reference Tools" in your library?

For the Add Parallels pop-up, Accordance still uses the categories of Texts, Reference Tools, and My Notes, even though the (official) Reference Tools category doesn't show up in the library.  If you have created a folder called Reference Tools, that would explain the duplication.

When I select Reference Tools from the Ad Parallel menu, I see a list including Study Bibles, Commentaries, Cross References, etc.  These are folders in my library organization.

Running Accordance on:
Mac 10.9 (Mavericks)
iOS 7 (iPad)
Windows Vista Home Premium

Lorinda,

That was it!  I moved the other folders out of my Reference Tool folder and that created the desired result.  Thank you for the help!
