I'm curious why the gloss for antecho is 'resist, withstand, speak against' when BDAG defines it as 'be devoted to, hold fast to, cling to.' LEH does agree with the gloss, but also includes the positive meaning. Is the meaning in BDAG a minority meaning limited to the GNT? Just curious if anyone has any insight on this term. Thanks!
