User Bible - paragraph and mark up problems

Is anyone else having problems getting mark up to work in user bible?

My bible import doesn't recognise <b>word</b> - it won't display the <b> or </b> but won't bold (or italicise etc) the word. Having said that, I now discover that subscript, superscript, capitalise, underline and break all work. Just not bold, italics or colour.

The paragraphs also don't work. When viewed as separate it displays the paragraph symbol,

1Cor. 10:1
1Cor. 11:1
1Cor. 12:1 ¶ Now concerning spirituals, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant,
1Cor. 12:2 (You) know that when you were gentiles, you were led astray to mute idols however you were led.


but when viewed as paragraph it just reads as one long paragraph.

1Cor. 1:1   Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Sosthenes, our brother. 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1   Now concerning spirituals, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant, 2 (You) know that when you were gentiles, you were led astray to mute idols however you were led.

Any ideas?

The mark up I have worked out has something to do with the font you are using. I was using times new roman and neither italics or bold showed up. In helvetica bold works but not italics, and in geneva they both work.

The color now works as well. I had tried the color red and it didn't work, while all the others did. First I thought it was because the search highlight colour was read - then I realised my stupidity - I had suppress red letter on!! Just goes to show how well the bible is integrated into the program.

Still wondering about the paragraphs.

And it would be nice to use times new roman or other fonts as well, with bold and italics ....

Did you remember to include the pilcrow ¶ in the first verse to indicate to the importer that the bible text is formatted with them?

Yes: 1Corinthians 1:1 ¶ Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Sosthenes, our brother.

(Its only 1 Corinthians at the moment - as a trial run).

Even when I copy and paste the examples in the help file of Genesis it doesn't work. Have you got it to work? Can you paste some text for me to examine. Thanks.

OK. Just got it working - not quite sure how it is different though, but for some reason it works now. Thanks for the help anyway.
