User Notes Scripture Link Error

Hi,

 

User notes are not linking scripture refs as I expect.

The User Notes Scripture references are not quite as "smart" as those in User Tools. If you make this a single reference in both kinds of tool, the Instant Details shows only the first verse, and clicking on the link opens the text window with both references (or all the references in the string).

 

However, if you make 5:18 a separate link it will work in User Notes which is able to refer to the preceding reference and identify the book. Both Instant Details and clicking the link will work. This is tied to the fact that User Tools are updated with full indexing including parsing of any Scripture links, so you get errors at the time of the update rather that when clicking on the link.

 

In User Notes, on the other hand, the note is updated without any checks, and when you click the link it does not refer back to the previous reference to find the book.

 

Thus in Notes your choice is either to make both references a single link, or to add the book name in front of each separate reference.

 

This is how the Notes work at present, in any case. I hope this helps.
