Simon Warren Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 I'm just about to purchase the Scholars 7.4 CD ROM. A couple of questions:- For how long is this likely to be the most up to date CD? I don't want to buy another one soon. Why can't all updates/modules be obtained via download? I'd still be prepared to pay. Helen Brown Posted March 5, 2008 Share Posted March 5, 2008 Most of the modules on the Scholar's Collection will not be updated until November, for SBL, even if the CD is re-released. It really is easier to install and update many modules using a CD and a single installer. The widget does not always work, and posting individual installers is a lot of hassle for everyone. However, in the future we hope to allow Accordance itself to update itself and modules, so maybe more updates will be available online. We are still not sure that we want to post every CD and module for download, for a variety of reasons. One of these is piracy, which one would hope is rare in this field, but sadly is not unknown.
