Will there be either a public beta or any other sort of beta testing program of Accordance 8.0?

We have a good team of beta testers. We do not release beta versions as we want to avoid them being passed around and used instead of the release. Sorry, but that's always been our policy.

Speaking of the next version, are we there yet?

In my college days I loved to climb the "mountains" in England's Lake District. As we toiled upwards we would focus on the peak ahead of us, hoping it was the last. Usually when we reached it there would be another higher peak ahead. We knew we had reached the summit only when there was nothing higher to conquer in the vicinity.

We have conquered many challenges already, but we won't know we are at the summit until we get there.
