I'm sure this is either not possible, or so remarkably simple that I should have figured it out by now. :blink:

I'm wanting to search a particular passage and highlight all genitive & dative nouns, as well as all the participles.

Is that something I would do through the Greek construct tool?

The construct window is for phrases or variants of phrases, and especially for defining relationships between the words. Your search is easily done in the main search window with the <OR> command thus:
[NOUN gen] <OR> [NOUN dat] <OR> [VERB part]
