I'm a newby to the forums, so I don't know if this has been discussed or not. I wouldn't mind suggesting that there be a "preference" option for the Copy as Citation tool.

One thing I do regularly in teaching is copy verses into my notes using Copy as Citation, but then end up reformatting them with my own style. Ex:

Lk 9:62 — “But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.””

as opposed to the default:
“But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.””
(Luke 9:62 NAS95)

I just thought it'd be kind of cool to have a preference area that let you specify how you wanted the verse references abbreviated, where they were located, and delimeters between the reference and the text. (For another example, see the way the Filemaker database allows options for displaying date formatting in date fields.)

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

Go to Preferences, click Citation in the list of settings, and customize away.
