I can't seem to find any advanced options to search for posts by users.
Also, each time I post, I select the option "enable email notification." I find replies when visiting the forum but have never received any emails. And yes, I've checked any spam folders.

I've gone into my profile and I can't find anyplace to change my contact info. My email is listed as Private. There is no place, that I can see, to input any email address.

If you click the 'Advanced' link next to the search field in the top right of your forums window, there is a field there 'Find author:'. Just put the user's name there.

As far as the E-mail notification, ensure that under My Profile (click your name in the top right to get that menu) that the E-mail contact is set correctly.

Oops, saw you already replied. Go to My Settings under that same popup menu. The second page of that lets you change your e-mail address. The first page determines how private/public it is.
