First off,

I should from the mountain top...THANK YOU FOR THE SYNC FEATURE!!!

For some reason, about half of my modules were simply not available for download into Accordance for iOS, but with Sync, the rest have come over and I am stoked!!

Now the organization of my newly synced modules and some questions.

1) It looks as though the modules have all synced to my iPad, but the order of modules has not. They are not in the same order as they are on my Desktop. Is this to be expected?

2) it also looks like the dividers that I have put in my modules lists have also not synced, so now I have all my modules with me (yay!), but I have to re-organize them again on my iPad manually, and I have no way to divide them up within their appropriate category (ugh).

This is not a big deal. But I would hope that future updates would be a true sync both ways, so that that the mobile version is a direct reflection of the desktop in both WHAT is there, as well as HOW it is organized.

Thanks again!!! I am a kid in a candy store and looking forward to future candy.

Hi, Bodie!

Thanks so much! Our programmers have worked hard at this and probably don't get enough recognition.

You are correct. At this point, a user's own subfolders are not being synced, nor are their module orders. Both had become necessary on the desktop for users with very large libraries, but we really did not anticipate such users moving all(!) their modules to the iPhone/IPad. I suspect we'll have to take a look at this down the road, as the iOS app has become a huge hit.

We're grateful for your "sweet tooth"—and hope you have many friends with similar tastes... ;-)

Dr J,

Thanks a bunch for the reply. I never anticipated it, but the iPad is now my main computer, and Accordance was why I bought it in the first place (even though, Accordance for iOS didn't exist at the time), because I knew it would be such a perfect device for studying my Accordance modules. So, naturally I want the full Accordance experience on the iPad (ie all my modules), which is why I am beaming that you guys have done the iOS app, and done it so well. Lovin' it.

I have no problem organizing, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

Since you responded, I wanted to ask if you might consider something. Have you ever considered doing an Accordance Webinar? I am sure you are familiar with it, but in case not it is basically a live online class that you hold at a specific time, you announce it to the community that you are having a webinar on "How to Study a Person" (for example), and you do it live AND people can send you chat messages DURING the presentation to which you can address and respond to. Your podcasts are SO SO SO helpful, and they have been simply indispensable in helping me learn Accordance. Thank you for all the time you are putting into them, they are beyond helpful. The thing is that during the Podcast I find myself wanting to stop and ask you questions!! That was why I thought the webinar (not in place of the podcasts, but as a separate event) would be a blessing to the community. Having a forum to field questions live would be awesome for us!!

Just a thought! Thanks for all you do!!

B
