Unless I'm missing something, the only way for me to save a tab (e.g. a reference window or a search) is to detach it from the workspace, save the separate window, and then merge windows again. It would be much simpler if it were possible to simply save a tab individually. Since contextual menus will be part of version 7, perhaps this could be an option on the contextual menu for a tab.
