This is a little trifling, but is it possible to change the category of modules? For example, I would like to change Lightfoot's translation of the apostolic fathers module (AFL-E) from "Texts" to "General Tools." But when I try to drag it in the library window, it won't let it leave the "Texts" category.

You certainly can't change the category of a text by dragging it around.
The category of text is set when Accordance put the module together.
In general, a text is something that is referred to in chapters and verses etc (like AFL), and tools are independent and/or related to a text.
Hope that helps.

You can try adding the following extension (with one period) to the end of the file you're trying to change. May work for you.
Type............Extension
Document..........ACC3
Module............ACC2
User Note.........ACC4
User Tool.........ACC7

I certainly would not try changing the file type. All the tools have the same file type in the Finder, but they are separated into categories based on the structure of the module and this cannot be changed.
