Is there any way for me to increase the amount of white space between lines in Tools?

Yes, Rick. Make sure the tool you want to adjust is in the forefront. Then use the shortcut command-T to bring up the dialog box. In the bottom right corner you will see a slide bar named Leading. Just slide the bar until you get the spacing you like. If you want to keep it for that tool, click on Use as Default. You can create a default for all your tools by going to Accordance-Preferences and choosing Tool Display. You will see a slide bar there that you can use to create default spacing for all your tools.
