I would like to edit the Parashot Tool, to add in the Trienniel cycle of Torah readings commonly used at some Conservative Synagogues, including mine. I tried copying the entire text to paste it into a user tool, but it wouldn't let me (it was too long). I tried exporting into a text file, and then importing it into a user tool (with the plain text setting), but the .rft file created from the Parashot tool was greyed out, and I could not import it.
Is what I am trying to do possible, or would I need to create an entirely new user tool file from scratch?

You can try importing the entire tool. You would need to open the RTF file in a word processor and save it as HTML, then it can be imported.
However, it would probably require a lot of work to make it look and work like our tool. And it cannot be used in a pane in the Search window.
I think the better option is to make a separate user tool with this set of readings. If there is sufficient interest, we could than add it to our own module, with your permission.

However, this site hasn't been updated for a long time. I sent David a user tool for the Revised Common Lectionary a number of months ago and it has yet to be posted.
