williamk
I've just had Acc 10 a few days so maybe I'll figure this out in time -- and I'm sure it's obvious so forgive my oversight. When I do a verse search (e.g., John 3:16) the search results return the whole Bible with John 3:16 at the top of the window. The slider control that controls the number of verses shown seems to be "the whole Bible" by default. I can easily slide it all the way to the left to see JUST John 3:16. Is there a way to make "show only the searched verse/passage" the default instead of showing the whole Bible? I'd rather have to use the slider occasionally to increase the contextual return rather than using it on every search to show just the verse I'm searching for. (My preference is to see the single verse/passage without the surrounding context of the whole Bible.) I looked through the Prefs panel but didn't see a way to change the default on this slider. Thanks for any tips, William K.
Anon
Yes. What you ask for is possible. In your system preferences, navigate to Search Tabs. In the listed preferences, unselect "Add Automatic Context". Your Search will now default to whatever you have the slider positioned. williamk
Well, that was easy! Thanks James -- I looked at that prefs pane the other day and didn't see that choice. Thanks for your help. WK
