With the iOS version - I would like to know if there is a simple way to merely clear out a search string. As an example, I've searched a word and would like to now just return to running text. Any thoughts?

Hi Paul,
I may be misunderstanding what you are trying to do, but is it more than returning to reading mode by tapping the spectacles at the left hand end of the search bar?
