It is still very difficult to select text in Accordance. Since I do not have this problem in other software that I use, I believe that this is an Accordance problem. Also, once I do select text, if I highlight it, the highlight will color much more text than I have selected - so much in fact that highlighting is pointless.

Can you give an example? I'm able to select text exactly as I am in all other apps, and I'm able to mark a highlight, having it highlight exactly what is marked.
Edit: If the problem is that the Instant Details popover appears while trying to make a selection, perhaps you should disable "Show Popover on click and hold" in the Preferences -> Instant Details.

It sometimes takes two or three tries to get the text selected. Then, on a random basis, sometimes it highlights what I have selected and sometimes it highlights two or three paragraphs. Since this is random behavior, I can't predict when it will happen or what I have to do to avoid it.
