Workspace won't restore when returning from reading mode

I have had this happen to me a few times. When attempting to return to my workspace it will not restore properly. Here is a look at what happens:

How are you existing Reading Mode? Just with the Esc key? Also, if you regrow the window, does the workspace clear itself up?

I am actually using the Better Touch Tool app to exit reading mode with a customized swipe. The bug occurs sporadically. After regrowing the workspace it does heal itself. I'll stick with the escape key and see how I fair.
