Hey, all -
I got my first kernel panic ever on my late 2008 MBP. It seems to be a Mountain Lion issue. Rebooted. All seems to be well now.
Just in case anyone else has the same problem, here's the article from Apple.

P.S. I used to "panic" regularly on my G5 running Leopard. I finally solved the problem by erasing and reformatting the HD. I hope to replace the G5 this year with a Mac mini when they're next updated (next week, according to the latest rumors). I really don't need pro performance for my secondary machine.
