I just down loaded ios accordance `1.6.2 and my heart sank once again.

Every time I see there is another down load my heart leaps for the joy and hope that I may finally be able to use the blue scripture links in my user note or that I may be able to copy and email a verse note. Then, every time I down load and try to click on my scripture link..., my heart sinks.

Is it really just a few of us that awaits the use of the blue links to work in the ios user notes? You have already started something because when you click the link it blinks grey like it is almost ready to link to the verse.

And the other thing is, I can't believe there is still no easy way to share your user notes on the ios. I know you can open the note like you are going to edit it and copy it there but when you do a window pops up telling you if you make any changes you will loose all of your text formatting. This always puts the fear of God in my heart. I know that the fear of God is a good thing but maybe not just because I am trying to copy and send a verse note to someone.

If there are any other people that long to have these functions please respond and if there is more than just a few us maybe they will get to it some day.

Please forgive me for sounding frustrated. It is just that I have written a large volume of user notes and I long to have these two options. I would think many others may as well, but maybe not.

Thank you for such a wonderful program.

God bless you

Marco

Anything with "User" in the title: user notes, user bibles, user tools is long overdue for an update and they have been repeatedly requested.

So have Retina display, Windows version, Voiceover, and many many other features.... Sorry, we do our best to set good priorities, and we do listen to all the feedback, but we just cannot do it all at once.

May I resurrect this topic as a request for the ability to use the linking feature in user notes on the iOS? I am sure I am like many others and desperately need this feature. I prepare my user notes on my Mac (in my case my 24" iMac) but then sync with my iPad to use in teaching classes. It would be a GREAT feature to have the ability to pop-up a relevant text while teaching.

I know he "work around" is to make a "user tool" versus a "user note." However, since most of my teaching at church is text based using my iPad to display the text on screen would be greatly enhanced by having a parallel pane contain my teaching notes with active links.

Please consider moving this up higher on the priority list.

After the 1.7 update that will soon be out we will have the ability to go back and address other priorities. I'm told that that implementing this request is related to some other items we are already working on. Preparing for iOS 7 definitely slowed us down, but we had no choice except to divert attention to it given the extremely high adoption rate of iOS updates, and new devices launching simultaneously.

Thanks for the feedback.

You have made a great tool for using the ipad to preach from. I really was excited to use this app and assumed I had a setting off... I am very disappointed that this feature does not work. The fact that is shows up as a link suggests this is a bug.  I was excited to use my laptop to create sermons and then sync and use the ipad from the pulpit. I am glad I did not purchase the $50 software.

I am also very concerned by the fact that I can see that your users have been asking for this problem to be corrected for over a year now. I hope this is corrected soon.

This is very high on our list to support along with arbitrary text selection, which we are actively working on. I hope my post above helps to answer why there was somewhat of a delay in new features to the app this year. Also, 1.7 is awaiting review and should be approved soon.

Thanks for the feedback.

Arbitrary text selection will be fantastic, as will these user note items. Thanks for letting us know!
