As I understand it, I cannot search within Accordance for all the commentaries I may have for the book of Romans, for example. If I have PNTC, NIGTC, Macarthur... etc... Accordance will not tell me that those sets have a commentary on Romans within them. Is there anyway this feature could be added? I sometimes forget which books each incomplete series has.

You could use Search All to search all of your commentaries for Romans. The results for Entry will be the ones that contain articles on Romans. If you want to just search your commentaries, rather than all your tools, you may want to add them to a 'My Group' in the Library, then just search that group.

This has been requested before, and could be accommodated if the Library search allowed for a search by "Volume." But that involves programming and additional data on each commentary, and our teams have enough to do at present.
