I consistently get a crash with Easy Install.  When I restart and recover the last session, the session is intact and the module is installed.

Yep.  (It's in the title of the post - do you do daylight savings time in Australia?  I'm tired with stinging eyes and feel generally crummy and having a bit of brain-fog.  Wish Congress would at least leave the clock alone.)

Hi, Julie!  A few questions:

 

1) What type of crash are you getting? Like, are you getting a crash report, or does it just silently go away?

 

2) Does it write anything to the Console.app about it exiting?

 

3) Does it crash regardless of what was in your session that you were working on?

 

4) If you go to ~/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems, there may be a 'TemporaryAccordanceSession' file there, try removing it.

Hey -

 

1)  Accordance just goes away.  No "quit improperly" message with the restart.

 

2)  Couldn't find anything in the Console that had "accordance" in it.  Might it be going by another name?

 

3)  I have no idea!  I always have several Workspaces open at the same time.  Maybe that is the problem?

 

4)  I couldn't find anything called "TemporaryItems" in the ~/Library/Caches or the User Library/Caches.  Should there be?

I have this problem too, Accordance often just quits the first time I try to install a module update. Occasionally it doesn't happen, so I'm not sure what triggers it. I usually only have one workspace open, so that might not be the problem.

Yes we do daylight saving. Our rural folks hate it, but we city-slickers love it. more time for the beach!
