Since a slideshow can only have one zone per workspace, is there any way to include a hits graph in a slideshow?

It needs to be a separate window, but you can easily switch between those windows using the Slide Show Palette.

So you can detach the Hits Graph and any other Analytics tabs to a separate workspace and display them in the slideshow mode.
