Robb B
One feature I'd like to see added is an automatic re-sizing of the browser pane when the right border is double-clicked. Excel has this feature of auto-fitting a cell when the right border is double-clicked, and it would be a nice addition to Accordance.
jpkang
I understand Excel's autofit behavior, but I don't understand what the analog behavior would be in Accordance, since most verses/paragraphs are much wider than would fit on one line? Can you give a specific example or scenario? Thanks...
Robb B
Sure. When I'm reading a journal, for example, and I want to see the contents of the journal in the browser pane, usually the pane is too narrow to see the whole title. It would be nice if double-clicking the right side of the pane automatically expanded it to show the whole title (longest title currently displayed) or to the max size it could be if the title is too long. Today I was reading through Waltke's grammar and this feature would have come in handy as I was scrolling down the contents in the browser pane. jpkang
OK, I get you now--and your request makes sense, but now I recall the Browser tool auto-sizing preference in Appearance settings. Does that help at all?
Robb B
That's a pretty cool feature. Never knew that was there! Thanks! The only thing is, it doesn't auto-size to the end of the longest title. It cuts off a little at the end. It does help. Perhaps a minor tweak to that feature is all that is really needed. I especially like how it goes back to a smaller size when you move your mouse away from it. Much better than the double-click I recommended. Helen Brown
You can adjust the inner position of the browser by dragging the vertical black line. The auto-size opens it another inch or so when you are over the browser.
Daniel R
+1 I have to continually reduce a zone's browser size to put it back in the zone. Would be nice if Accordance did that for me.
