Could we get the pericope headings written by translators put within the texts?

This has been requested and subsequently debated numerous times. There's probably more support for adding the heading to the accompanying notes files intend of the text itself.

Perhaps they can treat them like superscript notations, to enable optional displaying / non-displaying in the text. The superscripts for cross refs, footnotes are already additions imposed on the text by the translators / editors. The pericope headings are similar to them, and likewise useful/useless.

I've been thinking about this lately. Not the pericope headings for english translations, but a way to demarcate scribal habits in a transcription. I don't know what's in works, but in my mind, I resolved the need by adding fields to texts, much in the same way of tools yet with a tweak. Since there are already fields in a text (Words, Verses), it seems my proposal would convolute things. However, consider this. Searching on say, a second hand addition or correction in 1QIsaa the user would click on the plus (in the same way when the user wants to change the scope) and tell Accordance to search only for second hand corrections or additions. By placing this feature on parallel with scope and "ignore bracketed words" it hides away the feature for the non-specialist, but also brings a level of research to the table. For example, If I wanted to include vacat and other paragraph notations from the Qumran Scrolls, I can facilitate queries that are more directed towards literary analysis.

Hey, Josh — As Jonathan has said, this has been much discussed.  One way of getting the the headings is to keep a copy of the Outlines open.  The Outlines come with even the Starter Collection.
