Applescript delay versus do shell script sleep

Hi ya,

 

I have been battling an Applescript issue with the delay command in some of my GUI scripting of Accordance. Ask for 1 second get 11, that sort of thing. But erratic so that one never knows quite how long a script will take. I then hit on the idea of doing : do shell script "sleep " & duration. This works much predictably. I then search for this sort of solution and found this is not unknown in AS circles. Anyhow, figured I'd mention it in case anyone else needs it or has other comments on the issue.
