Darin Franklin
When I select text and right-click, "Highlight" is one of the items in the contextual menu. Please add this same Highlight item to the Selection menu in the menu bar. If you do this, then we could bind keyboard shortcuts to specific highlights using System Preferences. The Selection menu already has Repeat Highlight and Clear Highlight, so Highlight would fit in nicely.

Helen Brown
How would you determine which highlight to use?
Darin Franklin
The names from the current highlight file are listed in the submenu of Highlight. For example, I created three highlights: Important, Vocabulary, and Check Later. If I create a keyboard shortcut in System Preferences for "Vocabulary", the shortcut does appear in the Highlight submenu, but it doesn't work. Keyboard shortcuts only work in the menu bar, not contextual menus.
